Love is… eternal. This is the piece that I created for my the Love Is collaboration.  My parents.

I can’t think of a better example of love, than my own parents. These two set the bar high on what you should look for in love. I always remember when I was in my late teens, looking around the house for them and followed the sound of music coming from the basement. I creaked open the door to find them alone, slow dancing while my Dad sang to my Mum. These two are the sweetest couple and still madly in love with each other. They are a true inspiration.

So for my contribution to this “Love is…” collaboration I decided to recreate one of my favourite recent pictures of them. We had a family photo shoot this year, in Canada, and we discovered that my Dad carries this picture of the two of them in his wallet from when they were young. It was too tempting not to recreate. Little did I know that recreating your nearest and dearest was SO hard. This is officially the hardest piece that I have ever made and I don’t think it will ever truly be finished. I only hope that it does them justice.
